I ordered these bagels for my husband. We live in Virginia but he was born and raised in Long Island, NY. He misses a lot about NY but the bread, bagels and pizza are what he talks about most often. We've had NY bagels brought down with friends and family and these are pretty good. I think you do lose something in the freshness by having them packaged and shipped but honestly, it isn't much. We stocked our freezer full and now we can have NY bagels for breakfast for many weekends to come. If you are on the fence about ordering just understand they will not be the same as if you were IN NY but they will 100% hit the spot. They are dense but not heavy, chewy but not doughy and with that crisp outer shell you only get from NY. I don't know how they do it or why they are so different from even the best bagels here but they're just better.
